Note: From Version 3.50, different ThinkPad Utility Packages are
      provided for each operating system.

DOS users need the following packages:
     - Utility for DOS

When you install 'ThinkPad Configuration for DOS' in DOS screen under
Windows NT, the following package is also required.
     - Utility for Windows NT


What This Package Does
-----------------------
This package provides the following utility programs for DOS, Windows,
OS/2 (DOS screen), and Windows NT (DOS screen) users:
  - ThinkPad Configuration program (setup program) for DOS
  - Docking Control program for DOS

This package enables or updates the utility programs of the following
ThinkPad computers:
  - ThinkPad 365X, 365XD
  - ThinkPad 380, 380D, 380E, 380ED, 380XD, 380Z
  - ThinkPad 385D, 385ED, 385XD
  - ThinkPad 560, 560E, 560X, 560Z, 570
  - ThinkPad 600, 600E
  - ThinkPad 760C, 760CD, 760L, 760LD
  - ThinkPad 760E, 760ED, 760EL, 760ELD
  - ThinkPad 760XD, 760XL
  - ThinkPad 765D, 765L
  - ThinkPad 770, 770E, 770ED, 770X, 770Z

To determine if you have to update the utility programs or not, please
refer to the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the utility programs, please refer to the "Installation Guide"
section.

 -(Fix) Resuming from partial suspend mode is slow.

 -(Fix) The CDTIMER command has been removed.

 -(Fix) If DMA 5 is assigned for both DSP and Sound Blaster while they
        are disabled, both can be enabled at the same time.

Installation Guide
------------------
(Note)
To determine if you have to update the utility programs or not, please
refer to the "Summary of Changes" section.

< ThinkPad Configuration for DOS >

(For DOS)
 1. Start DOS.
 2. Download this file to a C:\DRIVERS directory.
 3. Execute the file to extract the installation files.
 4. At the DOS command prompt, change to the directory that this package
    was extracted to.
    The default path is C:\DRIVERS\DOS\UTILITY
 5. Type UINSTALL and press Enter.
 6. After reading the information on the screen, press Enter again.
 7. Select "Install DOS ThinkPad Configuration" at the Installation
    Options screen; then follow the instructions on the screen.

(For DOS screen under Windows NT)
  0. Install ThinkPad Configuration for Windows NT.
     Refer to the installation guide of Utility for Windows NT.
  1. Follow the same instruction as above for DOS.
