
TeamConnection Version 2.0 Toolbuilder's Development Kit (Fixpak 6)

This README.TXT file contains information you need for installing
this latest refresh of the TeamConnection Toolbuilder's Development Kit.

  NOTICES:

    1. If you are installing this version of the ToolBuilder's Development Kit,
       you MUST FIRST install the TeamConnection Version 2 Fixpak 2.0.7 code.
       In addition, if you would like to use the Toolbuilder's Development
       Guide publication on line, you must first install the TeamConnection
       online books.

    2. If you plan to use the TBDK Breditor in a Windows NT 4.0 environment,
       you should first install Windows NT Service Pack 3.  An earlier NT
       service pack causes Windows NT to crash when the you attempt to open
       the Breditor Settings window for a selected class.


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

   From the install image - OS/2:
   ------------------------------
   1. Download the fixpak image from the IBM service disk, for example,
      tfixpakX.zip from ps\products\teamconnection\fixes\intel\tbdk.

   2. Unzip the file c:/tfixpakX.zip

      where     "c:" is the drive to which you have downloaded the fixpak
                "X" is the current fixpak number

   3. From the directory where you downloaded and unzipped the fixpak,
      type the following at the OS/2 command prompt:

                install

   4. Press Enter.

   5. Follow the on-screen prompts.


   From the install image - Windows:
   ---------------------------------
   1. Download the fixpak image from the IBM service disk, for example,

Updates in the Current Release of the Toolbuilder's Development Kit
-------------------------------------------------------------------

* TBDK Breditor
  - The TBDK Breditor can now integrate Class Definition Language (CDL)
    for cache modeling.  Interface Definition Language (IDL) is still
    used for server-side modeling and building views.

  - The Generate pull-down menu provides new choices for generating
    cache CDL and server IDL, in addition to cache and server C++ files.


* The fixcrlf method, which prepares an object's bulk data for storage
  on the server, and the commonVersions attribute, which specifies
  versions that a TCPart is common to, are now available for tool builders
  through the TBDK.
